Brave Bessie
About a pioneering African – American female pilot who got her pilot license three years before Amelia Earhart. Every morning when Bessie wakes up she says, "Today is the day I’m going to learn to fly." After many failed attempts and boys teasing, she finds out that girls are not even allowed to become pilots in the US. Bessie takes a boat to France, where she gets her pilot license. And she comes back home and flies over the heads of everyone that said girls can't fly.
